ABOUT ME
My goal is to provide support and guide those who are ready to take the journey of a life well lived. I work with adolescents and adults facing an array of concerns including: ADHD, anxiety, chronic illness, communication barriers, depression, grief and loss, imposter syndrome, personal goals and development, professional growth, PTSD, racial identity issues, relationship challenges, self-esteem and various forms of trauma. You will be the driving force throughout our time together and with commitment and consistency, I believe you will achieve everything you hope and envision for yourself.
I provide client-centered care through a strength-based, solution-focused lens with a focus on equity, race, and social justice. Some of the modalities that I refer to in my practice are: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Somatic Therapy techniques.
I am committed to my own forever journey to wellness, and I reflect many of your needs and wants as a fellow human, so I understand it's importance in your life. As a mixed-race woman, I hold a unique perspective in the value of collaborative efforts in establishing healthy habits so you can build the armor needed to survive as well as the tools to thrive.
EXPERIENCE
My background includes over 24 years of working with culturally diverse children and families in a variety of settings including hospital emergency departments providing evaluation and crisis intervention as well as in child welfare resolving issues of abuse and neglect in dependency court.
Experienced working in high conflict environments while remaining strength-based and solution
focused.
I have experience with adolescents , couples, individuals and geriatric populations. An opportunity to assist in reducing suffering and improving life is always my goal.
