ABOUT ME
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have extensive experience working with people of all ages, building therapeutic relationships across the board with many groups of people. I am able to provide support around depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, and managing positive life changes as those can also causer changes in your mental health. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy and I am willing to explore a positive journey to heling, motivation and goal setting.
I'm multiculturally faceted and understand the importance of one's culture/race as it pertains to our life experiences. I am bilingual in Spanish and can communicate effectively in reading, writing and oral. I am extremely passionate about the work that I do and want every person to have a safe space when they meet me.
My personal style is direct and solution focused which allows me to build strong therapeutic goals for clients. My approach is influenced by Reality, Humanistic, CBT, Integrative, Multicultural and Behavioral. I am here to normalize therapy to create healthier individuals. Therapy to me is part of much needed self-care and I aim at breaking the stigma around getting support for our mental health.
EXPERIENCE
I have worked with children, adolescents and their families for over 20 years of my career. I have experience in working with individuals dealing with addiction of themselves or their loved ones, domestic violence, grief and loss, aging and transitioning to new stages of life.
